Dubai Government Approved Over 17,000 Affordable Homes In Six Areas
Dubai has announced the development of 17,080 affordable housing units in six districts. The Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has validated the policy to extend the scope of affordable housing. On March 12, 2025, he also approved the allocation of land to be used to develop affordable housing units in Dubai. Notably, 1.46 million square meters of land have been allocated for this housing initiative.
In addition to approving an affordable housing project, Sheikh Hamdan also reinforced his commitment to improve educational outcomes and extend support to independent legal practitioners. The objective of this development is not only to strengthen the economy and increase employment opportunities but also to ensure access to high-quality yet affordable housing and essential services.
Six sites will be developed in the first phase in Al Mueisim 1, Al Twar 1, Al Qusais Industrial 5, and Al Leyan 1.ย This project will include the development of perfectly designed, high-quality living spaces strategically located near key areas, offering seamless access to thriving communities. This initiative will also reinforce Dubai’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and focusing on sustainable development.ย ย
These residential units will be available at cost-effective rental rates, allowing residents to take advantage of these modern living spaces and easy access to essential services. The Supreme Committee for Urban Development will manage this project. The Dubai Land Department, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, General Directorate for Identity and Foreign Affairs – Dubai, Dubai Civil Defense, and Dubai Real Estate Corporation will materialize this esteemed project.
