Dubai Loop: UAE AI minister announces partnership with Elon Musk
Dubai has announced a landmark transport-related project named “Dubai Loop”. Dubai collaborates with Elon Musk’s Boring Company Futto to develop an underground transport system in the city to connect densely populated neighborhoods of the city. This project will certainly address traffic-related issues in Dubai.
UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications and Vice Chair of World Governments Summit, Omar Sultan Al Olama, said in a statement, ‘Today we announce the joint project of Dubai Loop, which is a loop project that is going to cover Dubai’s most densely populated areas for people to go from point to point the seamless manner. We hope to change people’s lives.”
Elon Musk said, “I think once people try it out, they’ll be like wow this is really cool. It’ll seem so obvious in retrospect but until you actually do it you don’t know.
He further added, “It’s going to be great. It’s going to be like a wormhole and you’ll just wormhole from one part of the city and, boom, you’re at another part of the city. It’s great. I’m looking forward to this partnership.”
This project will particularly target the congested areas of the city to resolve traffic issues, especially during rush hours, enabling people to travel seamlessly. Though the announcement has been made but further information is yet to be made public.
