World’s Strongest Passport: UAE Ranks First for the 4th Consecutive Year
The United Arab Emirates has secured the first position in the global ranking of the world’s strongest passports for the fourth consecutive year, continuously leaving behind countries like Finland, France, Germany, Spain and other top-ranked countries. Among 180 countries, the UAE got the highest position, enabling its citizens to enjoy access to over 90% countries of the world.
The citizens of the United Arab Emirates can enter 133 countries visa-free and enjoy on-arrival visa access in 47 countries. Emirates have to obtain a pre-arranged visa for only 18 states, showing the strong and solid relationships of the UAE with other countries. Spanish citizens also enjoy almost the same facilities. However, they have to go for pre-arranged visas in 19 countries.
European Nations, as usual, dominated the ranking by securing the top 18 positions. Kosovo also emerged as a strong player mainly because of its entry into the Schengen zone, allowing it to obtain 35 mobility points.
Both the United States and the United Kingdom witnessed a decline in their ranking. The UK dropped to 32nd and the US dropped to 38th place in the year 2024, making it the weakest country among G7 nations.
Coming back to the UAE, it has maintained its top passport ranking for the fourth consecutive year, showcasing the country’s persistent growth and business ease.
