Sheikh Hamdan Approves The Master Plan For Jebel Ali Beach Development Project
Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of The Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved the master plan for the Jebel Ali Beach Development project. This project is part of a master plan designed to develop public beaches in Dubai.
The architectural design for buildings and facilities of this development project has been approved. This project will expand public beaches by 400% and add to the charm and fascination of the metropolitan city.ย
Sheikh Hamdan wrote on X, โAs part of the Dubai 2040 Master Planโs goal to develop and expand the emirateโs public beaches by 400 percent, we have approved the master plan and designs for the Jebel Ali Beach Development Project. The unique project spans 6.6 kilometres and covers a total area of 330 hectares. Dubai is committed to implementing pioneering projects that enhance quality of life and strengthen the cityโs position as the worldโs best place to live and work in.โ
This project intends to extend a unique eco-tourism experience, allowing visitors to take advantage of matchless services and facilities available here and experience a seamless blend of nature, aesthetics and functionality. It will also preserve the environment and secure wildlife. After the completion of this project, the beach will become a unique recreational destination where you will be able to enjoy and analyze the connection between land and sea.
Matter Al Tayer, Commissioner General for Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Well-Being Pillar was of the view, โAn open beach for the public and a site of global environmental importance, the Jebel Ali Beach Development Project is the first of its kind in the UAE. It is located within the Jebel Ali Wildlife Sanctuary, listed under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance.โ
He further addedโThe project aims to create a unique, attractive recreational beachfront with a strong emphasis on protecting the environment and supporting the emirateโs sustainability and eco-tourism goals. The beachโs development will ensure the preservation and enhancement of ecosystems and wildlife at the site, including enhancing turtle habitats and planting mangrove trees, which will contribute to blue carbon footprint growth and provide an open beach with minimal impact on ecological and biological systems.โ
