World’s First Air-Conditioned City to be Build in Dubai
Dubai has uncovered another ambitious plan. It is to build the world’s Air-Conditioned City named as “Mall of the World”. This will be a first-of-its-kind project. With its futuristic design and matchless amenities, this project will solidify Dubai’s status as a world-class destination. It will feature the world’s largest indoor theme park which will remain open throughout the year. A giant glass dome will cover this theme park.
This project will spread over 4.5 million square meters. Besides a theme park, the world’s largest shopping mall will also be developed. This shopping mall will be designed as a multi-level retail street network, offering a unique shopping experience. A 7-kilometer-long air-conditioned promenade is also a part of this groundbreaking project. It will ensure year-round comfort.
The Mall of the World will be more than just a shopping and entertainment destination. Cultural and wellness ventures will also cater to diverse visitors. A wellness zone will also be developed that will not only offer top-notch healthcare facilities but also facilitate medical tourists. A dedicated theatre district inspired by renowned global venues such as London’s West End and New York’s Broadway and The Celebration Walk based on the model of Barcelona’s popular Ramblas Street will add to the glamour and captivation of this project.
Furthermore, over 100 hotels and serviced apartments offering 20,000 hotel rooms will facilitate travelers of various types, catering to a wide range of travelers. Upon completion, this visionary project will have the capacity to park up to 50,000 cars. In simple terms, it will be a vibrant hub for global celebrations as both local and international festivals will be hosted here. The Mall of The World will be a perfect blend of entertainment, culture and hospitality.
The ruler of Dubai and Vice President of UAE, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, stated in a statement, “This project complements our plans to transform Dubai into a cultural, tourist, and economic hub for the two billion people living in the region around us; and we are determined to achieve our vision.”
He further added, “The growth in family and retail tourism underpins the need to enhance Dubai’s tourism infrastructure as soon as possible. We are confident of our economy’s strength, optimistic about our country’s future and we continue to broaden our vision.”
