UAE to Launch Flying Cars by 2027 — Prices Start at $799,000
High-tech transport is all set to redefine commuting in the United Arab Emirates and the country aims to introduce flying cars by 2027. Local people will be able to capitalize on these flying vehicles in their personal capacities. Dutch Company PAL-V has finally secured final regulatory approval for its flying car after a 12-year certification process.
With this approval, the world’s first flying car is close to taking off in the UAE skies by 2027. In a couple of years, the first commercial flying cars could be seen in the skies of the UAE. The two-seater PAL-V Liberty which is priced at $799,000 will begin production next year in the Netherlands and is expected to launch in the UAE in 2027 through local partner Jetex.

Chief Commercial Officer of PAL-V, Marco van den Bosch, said in an interview, “We just had last Thursday the final signature of IATA,” He further added, “After nearly 12 years of certification, we got the final ‘there’s no objection’. So everything is okay now for IATA and FAA.”
Given the dual-use design of these flying cars, these vehicles will work as both cars and flying vehicles. They will fly like a gyroplane, offering an innovative solution for traffic issues and meeting the luxury travel needs of people. The company will also do 100 hours of verification flying in early 2026 before its launch, said the CCO of PAL-V. He further added, “It’s not test flying anymore, because it’s a finished product,” noting that all regulatory approvals, which normally take 10-12 years, have already been completed.
