The Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has unveiled the 10th edition of the Retail Calendar, commemorating ten years of reshaping Dubai’s retail and lifestyle scene. This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda, which focuses on making Dubai a top destination to live, work, and visit. This 2026 Retail Calendar features events, such as the Dubai Shopping Festival 31st edition, Dubai Summer Surprises, and the Great Dubai Summer Sale. 

Established in 2017, the Retail Calendar has played a crucial role in driving Dubai’s economic and tourism growth. It brought together more than 1,000 brands and 4,000 retail outlets, generating billions in sales and reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as the region’s shopping hub. In its previous edition, the Dubai Esports and Games Festival welcomed 45,000 fans and participants to 12 exciting events, with a staggering 3.8 million gamers participating in over 90 tournaments. This initiative has enhanced Dubai’s allure as a world-class destination for travelers seeking unique experiences.

Major Events and Festivals in 2026 Retail Calendar

The following are the major events and festivals in the 2026 Retail Calendar:

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)

It is a key highlight of the 2026 Retail Calendar and is renowned as the world’s longest-running retail festival. It is going to be the 31st Dubai Shopping Festival. Starting from Friday, December 5, to Sunday, January 11, the event offers massive sales, spectacular drone shows, and vibrant live performances. The final sale will offer incredible discounts of 25% to 90% at more than 3,000 outlets in Dubai. It will attract millions of visitors from around the world. 

Chinese New Year

Counted among the most exciting and cultural events in Dubai, the Chinese New Year brings vibrant celebrations and dazzling shows. This celebration comes with special discounts on meals, fireworks displays, and captivating traditional performances as the Year of the Fire Horse arrives on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Chinese New Year will take place between Friday, February 13, and Sunday, February 22. 

Dubai Fashion Season

The Dubai Fashion Season will present collections across all four seasons, featuring spring, summer, autumn, and winter lines throughout the year. During the event, you can discover the hottest fashion and shopping trends at the best shopping destinations in the Emirate of Dubai. With dazzling events and high-end retail experiences, Dubai is strengthening its position as a global fashion hub.

Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr

During the holy month of Ramadan, a wide range of celebrations are expected to be held, from Monday, 16 February to Sunday, March 22. The exact dates will be confirmed based on the moon sighting. In this sacred month of Ramadan, the city hosts a plethora of Iftar and Suhoor each evening. Additionally, shoppers can visit night markets featuring traditional Emirati clothing. The city celebrates Eid Al Fitr with grand feasts, sparkling decorations, and a few days of holiday. 

The Great Online Sale

During this three-day e-commerce extravaganza, digital shoppers can benefit from discounts of up to 95% on fashion, beauty, electronics, and home essentials. The exact dates for the event have not been disclosed yet. 

Dubai Esports and Games Festival

Taking place between Friday, May 8, and Sunday, May 24, this event is celebrating its fifth year. The event brings a line-up of exciting activities, such as tournaments, expos, cosplay championships, and educational programs, for gamers and tech lovers. This event enhances Dubai’s allure as an international gaming hub. 

Eid Al Adha

The city has planned to celebrate Eid Al Adha, the most sacred festival of Islam, from Friday, May 22, to Sunday, May 31. The official dates will be confirmed based on the moon sighting. During the event, families can benefit from special dining deals, enjoy vibrant cultural performances, and explore exclusive retail promotions. Both the residents and visitors can indulge themselves in Emirati customs and create unforgettable memories. 

3-Day Super Sale

The sale will be held twice a year. It will offer a staggering discount of 90% across fashion, electronics, homeware, and more. The exact dates will be revealed soon. 

Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS)

This event will take place from Friday, July 3, to Sunday, August 30. You’ll explore exclusive offers and exciting entertainment throughout the event. The Great Dubai Summer Sale has been added to DSS, offering a unique opportunity for value-packed shopping. The Dubai Summer Surprises will end with the DSS Final Sale, which will offer massive discounts across lifestyle, beauty, and fashion brands. 

Dubai Home Festival

Taking place between Friday, October 16, and Sunday, November 1, the event will offer special deals on furniture, decor, and appliances. Festivals of Lights (Diwali) in Dubai

On this occasion, the Indian residents and the International communities unite to celebrate the event with vibrant energy. It will be held between November 2, 2026, and November 12, 2026. Dubai Fitness Challenge
